Governor Moore heads to Capitol Hill to lobby for Key Bridge funding

Fairfax County starts solar panel recycling program

330-unit housing development planned in Arlington

An office building at 4601 Fairfax Drive will be redeveloped into a seven-story, 330-unit residential development, according to plans Penzance has filed with Arlington County.  (Urban Turf)  

District budget includes allotment to fix Municipal Fish Market piers

The piers of the Municipal Fish Market in Southwest DC have been deteriorating for years, with one inoperable and preventing full market occupancy and the other in poor condition. Replacement of the piers is fully funded in the District’s proposed capital budget. The project will take an estimated four years to complete in stages that allow the market to remain open. Car driver kills skateboarder in hit and run in Wheaton

Alexandria nonprofit receives $200,000 grant for energy efficient housing retrofits

Rebuilding Together DC-Alexandria received a $200,000 private grant to enable energy-efficient retrofits for households with incomes below a certain threshold. Projects will include insulation, HVAC improvements, air purifiers, Energy Star appliances, and more.  (James Cullum / ALXNow)
